During the 5th week lots of new and exciting things are happening. Pups are eating 3 meals a day even though mom still provides some nice warm milk from her milkbar. Puppies have seen some snow and even been playing in the rain. They have the use of the doggy door pretty down pat now. They are enjoyng lots of various toys for stimulation and snuggles and cuddles from family and friends.

They enjoy sleeping in their crate at night and snuggle with their litter mates.

Between the 3 and 4th week is a major milestone. It is a time when pups venture outside their whelping box to explore the world a little more. At around 4 weeks pups are taken outside for a brief time to see the BIG outdoors. We also introduce them to the doggy door and suprisingly they catch on rather quickly.

This is also the time when mom will start to wean her pups. We introduce the pups to goats milk, baby cereal and some raw chicken gruel.

Sister Meadow just LOVES to watch the pups. She will be a great mom someday...just like her mom Brandy
